Anyone who knows Hayden....knows he loves to make and/or build things. I use to say, "Hayden doesn't care anything about writing his name, but he can take a flashlight apart and put it back together without any trouble."
Sometimes he likes to get out "ingredients" and mix differents ones together just to see what happens. Yesterday, he made his own dough out of flour, salt, water and a couple of random spices he found in the pantry. I thought it was pretty cute (and then I usually just throw it out), but this time he wanted to cook the dough he had shaped into biscuits. We put them in the oven and they came out like hard rocks. After they cooled, I found Hayden painting them with watercolor paints.

Oh, you are such a good mom. I have never let my kids get into ingredients and make stuff. I'm such a freak about messes that my kids have missed out on that fun part of life. Maybe one day I can let them loose out back and experiment.
